The Select Few recently hosted a patient education seminar at Bogart’s in Boca Raton.

Topics of discussion were:

Prediabetes – The Latest Pandemic: Lecture given by Dr. Kathryn D. Jones covered identifying those at risk, addressing the problem, avoiding or delaying the onset of Type II Diabetes Mellitus.

Blood Sugar Monitoring: Lecture given by Nancy Talio, RN, BSN, CDE, Direector of the Outpatient Diabetes and Nutrition Program at Boca Raton Regional Hospital included the following topics: What do Blood Sugars mean? How do they reflect diet/medication/exercise?

OT / PT: Lecture given by Meryl Friedman Parr, Certified Occupational Therapist included What to expect from the OT/PT experience, and full risk assessment and prevention.

The Select Few will be continuing it’s commitment to better patient care through education at the next seminar on December 5th, 2015.
